Recently, China releases its National Consensus Data which records the lowest birth rate in the last few decades. The fertility rate of women (childbearing) has been dropped to 1.3. Experts stated that its population will reach its peak by 2029 and then starts declining rapidly. This means China will be an ‘aged world’ i.e. more older people than younger or adults.
Any country which has a higher number of old people will slow down its economy which ultimately rests into an economically dead country. With no one remain to serve in the industrial factories and to hold the responsibility of other institutions, the country is not less than a ‘GHOST WORLD’.
It’s not the first time that any country is going to record the lowest birth rate, Japan, South Korea, and the EU has already been experienced a lower birth rate than the world’s average birth rate.
DID THIS HAPPEN SUDDENLY?
From around 2010-2012, it starts experiencing a lower birth rate and get concerned about and finally it was in 2016 when China allowed its citizen-couple to have two children. But it doesn’t mean China won its battle against low birth rate, despite getting relaxation on child policy the citizens feared other reasons to be worried about.
FACTORS AFFECTING THE BIRTH RATE OF CHINA:
Living in China doesn’t seem to be very economical, a usual couple who has a child of up to 5 years, it is estimated that the couple has to spend around 8000 yuan for caring and affording the education of the child ( if you are living in the village), and, if you are living in a city it costs you around 11,000 yuan for the same.
Affordable housing in the cities is also a matter of concern for its citizen, which is already sky-rocketing. And these factors worry the citizens to bear another child as it will burn their pocket by a vast difference. TO, have an estimation of buying houses you need to spend your earning of entire 20 years of a decent job.
Women also like to be more career-oriented, women prefer to establish their career before directly getting into a marriage.
SOMETHING TO LOOK UPON FOR; DIGGING DEEPER
We could not ignore the horrifying facts coming from the ‘XINJIANG’ province of China, many fugitives from Xinjiang explained in an interview with BBC about the way people are tortured in what is so-called ‘re-education camps’ which is defined as a place where the people who have lost the mainstream of the economy are educated. While these fugitives told that there is nothing like ‘re-education camps’, people are put down into the cells like some rags and these cells are made in schools, and they are brutally tortured there, Uighur women are forced to sterilization so that they could eradicate the Uighur population (Uighurs are in majority in Xinjiang) and establish the majority of the ‘Han’ community which is the majority community in china.
These people also reported that young ladies and other women are taken into another room which is called a dark room where they are stripped and teased and sexually harassed by some two or more Chinese men who wore masks during this whole time and these ladies are also handcuffed so that they could not resist their act and also threat these women to not to tell any other people, this process continues every other day with different women and sometimes the same women are harassed many times. These women are given pills and injections to keep them silent and erase their consciousness which, ultimately makes these women “A LIVING CORPSE”.
Everyone in the detention camp is forced to wear a mask even before the pandemic, they are forced to learn the history, cultures, ideology, agenda, languages, and many things which Chinese government wants, their eyes are wrapped with a black cloth and put into a room where these lessons are being recited continuously over speakers and time to time they have to give test which they are supposed to pass, if you fail they divide you into three categories one, two, and three and they are given different clothes of three colors worn by these category people to easily determine how many times they have failed the test and their punishment are decided accordingly.
The interviewee also told that after some time these people are released and when they are released these people do not even remember where to go they are like “A LIVING DEAD”, they forget their whole identities.
SOLUTION TO THE FALLING BIRTH RATE:
Experts put forward a plan of segregating 10% of the country’s GDP for each child a couple bears.
China could also control its sky-rocketing housing.
It could also reduce the cost of education.
